Terms and conditions
1. Location
No callout fee’s and free installation of new PC’s applies to clients within a
30 mile radius of Colchester Town, Essex. Vella Technology may use their
discretion to extend this area or negotiate a small call-out fee with the client
in advance.
2. Authorisation
Regarding Repairs and Health Checks:
The client authorises Vella Technology to conduct an evaluation of
hardware/software to determine the nature of the damage. If Vella Technology are
unable to resolve a problem at the clients location no fee will be charged, but
an optional £65 service may be offered whereby Vella Technology will remove the
hardware and fix at business location before returning hardware to the client.
No fee will be charged if Vella Technology are unable to identify the problem
and offer a solution. £35 fee does not include any additional hardware that may
be required to resolve the problem.
3. Hardware
If Vella Technology are able to identify the problem but the problem requires
the purchasing of hardware to rectify then the £35 fee applies regardless as to
whether the client wishes to purchase the necessary hardware to complete a
repair. In all cases whereby Vella Technology identify a problem and offers to
rectify the problem a charge will apply regardless as to whether client opts to
proceed with the required works.
4. Confidentiality
Vella Technology agrees not to disclose any and all information or data files
supplied with, stored on, or recovered from client's equipment except to
employees or agents of Vella Technology subject to confidentiality agreements or
as required by law.
5. Payment
Payment is due in full upon completion of successful service/sale. We accept
payment via cash, cheque, or bank transfer. We also accept Visa, MasterCard,
Maestro and Solo through our online payments service.
6. Warranty
IT Repairs/Services:
30 days warranty regarding the resolved issue on any hardware that Vella
Technology has repaired. The warranty will not cover the reoccurrence of the
original issue if it is due to user abuse. Vella Technology makes no warranty on
data, express or implied.
PC Sales and other Hardware Sales:
Vella Technology offer a 1 year warranty on all hardware sold. Any faulty
hardware within this time will be replaced/repaired. In the event of hardware
failure Vella Technology may not be able to specify a timescale for replacements
as it may be reliant on the timeframe that a separate manufacturer operates
within.
7. Limited Liability
Vella Technology shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical
functioning of equipment/media or the condition or existence of data on storage
media supplied before, during or after service.
In no event will Vella Technology be liable for any damage to the
laptop/desktop/hardware, loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, or any
special, incidental, contingent, or consequential damages, however caused,
before, during or after service even if Vella Technology has been advised of the
possibility of damages or loss to persons or property. Vella Technology
liability of any kind with respect to the services, including any negligence on
its part, shall be limited to the contract price for the services.
The client and Vella Technology agree that the sole and exclusive remedy for
unsatisfactory work or data shall be, at Vella Technology’s option, additional
attempts by Vella Technology to recover satisfactory data or refund of the
amount paid by the client. The parties acknowledge that the price of Vella
Technology services would be much greater if Vella Technology undertook more
extensive liability.
The client is aware of the inherent risks of injury and property damage involved
in laptop/desktop/hardware repair, including without limitation, risks due to
destruction or damage to the machine, media, or data and inability to repair the
machine or recover data, including those that may result from the negligence of
Vella Technology, and assumes any and all known risks of injury and property
damage that may results.
